Established in 1972, Anesthesia Associates of Pinellas County is a group of some of the best anesthesiologists and certified nurse anesthetists in the country. This team of anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists provide services at some of the best hospitals in Florida: Morton Plant Hospital, Mease Dunedin Hospital and Mease Countryside Hospital.

Morton Plant Hospital - a private, non-trauma, 700-bed hospital in Clearwater, Florida and 3 surgery centers.

Mease Dunedin Hospital - a 173-bed facility and a surgery center that began providing quality medical and surgical care in 1937.

Mease Countryside Hospital - the fastest growing hospital in Pinellas County. This 300-bed hospital opened in 1986 and is located in Safety Harbor, Florida.

Anesthesia Associates of Pinellas County serves all three of these hospitals. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality, compassionate anesthesia care possible. Our anesthesiologists are medical doctors with 3 to 5 years of residency and often fellowship training beyond medical school.

Many of our anesthesiologists have special training in obstetrical anesthesia, cardiac anesthesia, post-operative pain management and critical care. Each of our doctors is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Anesthesiologists are physicians who complete a four-year college program, four years of graduate doctoral training and four more years of anesthesiology residency. All Anesthesia Associates of Pinellas County are board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or other appropriate degree, are registered nurses (RN), have at least one year's experience in an acute care nursing setting and complete a two-to-three year advanced nurse anesthesia program.

Anesthesia Associates of Pinellas County provides anesthesia services at Morton Plant Hospital, Mease Dunedin Hospital, Mease Countryside Hospital, Morton Plant Day Surgery Center, Mease/Countryside Day Surgery Center and the Orthopedic Surgery Center.
